Unless otherwise noted, all workshops will be held from 10am-noon, in Janet MacLeod's Studio, upstairs at the Adamant Co-op. If you have ideas for a workshop you would like to hold, we'd be more than happy to set it up! No expertise necessary, just a love for doing something and the wish to share it with others in a really informal, low pressure environment. Contact Janet MacLeod at the co-op: 223-5760.
This workshop is for anyone who loves playing w/ fiber: people who already know how to knit, as well as those that want to learn. (Be Warned: it can become an obsession...) Bring a project that you're working on, if you have one, or materials (yarn and needles) to start something. If you'd like to knit a felted hat, bring two skeins of Paton's "Classic Wool" yarn (or some other yarn that you know will felt), and a 16" circular size 11 needle and double pointed size 11 needles. I'll supply the pattern. I'd be happy to consult w/ you before the workshop, if you'd like help decided what you'd like to knit. Cindy 223-6060.
The workshop with Suzanne will probably be the last one for the winter season, since we know everyone will want to get out into their gardens. But we'll start up again in the late fall. However, if there is rainy weather during the spring and summer, on a weekend, we may just come together and do something spontaneously. We'll keep you posted.
So what do you do if you live in Greater Adamant and spring refuses to appear? Get together someplace warm with your neighbors for lively conversation and great food. Bring your ideas, concerns and inspirations. Bring food to share. Dessert will be supplied by our very own Mostly Local line of baking mixes. If you have any notices that you'd like to share with the community, bring those too.
Come and make beautiful beaded earrings with Marilyn Sladek. Small fee for materials.

Remember the old red construction paper and doilies? Time to move on. Join in for creative Valentine making with Susan Rexford-Winston. Small fee for materials.
